Hi

We are evaluating the LMS at present and would like to wrap DNN Article (and other parameter driven modules) so we can leverage the benefits of version control and windows live writer support. However it requires passing through a query-string name/value to retrieve the article. E.g. http://www.ourwebsite.com/Support/Knowledgebase/ArticleId/1/

Adding support for query-strings would greatly enhance the types of modules that could be effectively wrapped.

Would you consider adding this feature?

Thanks
Adam

Hi Adam,

Yes we have thought about that.

For now you can try placing the article module on a page with a blank skin (or at least a skin without navigation).  And then use the Event Source: URL External (where you pasted in the URL to the actual article).

You need to be careful using either the Module, the URL External, or the URL local Page that you do not provide links (menu navigation) back into your main site.  Otherwise you will end up navigating your site from within the Learning Event popup window.

Please review the Extended Learning Event white paper and some of the Resource Files on our Download page:

BTW - we do offer prioritized development at $40/hour for customization or features you would like to see expedited.  Please contact sales@interzoic.com for more information.

Thanks,
Chris
