| Hi,
I have been trying to hide the folder from a particular role, but have not yet succeeded. There are two learner roles setup in the LMS, learner and learner virtual. The top level folder are set to be visible to both of these roles and I try to hide one of its child folders from the learner role and make it only visible to learner virtual.
What I did was unticking the learner role in the folder view permissions and leaving only the learner virtual role as ticked. However this doesn't work as expected, as soon as a learning event is added to that folder, the folder is visible to both roles.
I'm not sure where I did wrong, or this is a bug of the system? Your help on this folder permission issue would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Cassie |

Hi Cassie, This might be a bug. For our clarification - do you want to hide the folders from the Learner > My Plan (LE Enrollment) or the Learner > Catalog (Learner Catalog View Permissions)? Learner Catalog View Permissions will determine if the Learner can see the LE Folders from their Learner > Catalog tab. Manager Enrolled content can be seen from the Learner > My Plan tab. Thanks, Chris |

Hi Chris, Thanks for your response. We've configured it out, it's the enrollment that's doing the trick. We'd like to change the Learner > My Plan view permissions but we were playing around the Learner Catalog View Permissions. Cheers, Cassie |

I'm glad to hear it's not a bug. However the UI is confusing. We're going to make the distinctions between Learner Catalog View Permissions and Manager Enrollment clearer in the next release. Thanks for taking the time to provide us your feedback. Chris |
