Hello, I have uploaded a Captivate presentation as a SCO learning event and followed the instructions. The type i have selected is only completed as per your manual. The problem I have is that it is always "incomplete". Is it timed? I have setup the completion time as 1 minute and even if I leave the learning event open for longer it is always incomplete. Am I missing a straight forward step? Thanks

Hi Fabie,

There are many ways to configure authoring tools and most SCO problems have been tracked down to improper output configurations.

For all SCO related problems we ask our clients to first create an account at http://testtrack.scorm.com/ (free) and run their SCO on their testing harness.  If the SCO runs without problems at testtrack then you can send the SCO to us and we will research the problem further.

Concerning the "Duration" value in the LE Details - this is a value that can be set by the LMS Administer to let their students know approximately how long the SCO will last.  However it does not actually determine if the attempt history shows the SCO as "complete" or not.  Only the SCO can report that value and we then report what ever it tells us.

For some reason your SCO is not reporting Completed to our LMS and we don't know where the problem exists.  We have many clients running Captivate without problem.

Please run your SCO at testtrack to isoloate if the problem is with your SCO.  If it is, then you will need to contact Captivate support.  If it runs fine, then contact us - we'll be happy to follow.

Thanks,
Chris
