Yes. Homework could be assigned using Extended Learning Events ("XLE") with the tracking set as "incomplete on open". The learner would follow the instructions, and deliver the completed homework to the instructor. The status would stay as incomplete.
The instructor would login using his assigned Manager Profile and enter the "complete" results for each learner who was assigned the task. The "complete" status would be set as a prerequisite for follow-on homework assignments. In this way follow on homework could only be accessed once the previous homework had been set to "complete" by the Manager.
Managers can create Attempt records for discrete Learners if they need to input unique scores. Or they can create attempt records for all Learners associated with a specific role if they want to update an entire class to "completed" at once.
