The ability to sell course access is handled by selling subscriptions to DotNetNuke (DNN) roles, or 'Classes' from the LMS perspective.
Each Class (or role) can be:- associated with a single or multiple Learning Events
- associated with a single or multiple Learning Event Folders
- unlimited in access
- a subscription period of access
- DNN is designed to handle large numbers of roles.
- Roles can be grouped to make management easier.
- Manager Profiles can be assigned access to different roles, so different Managers can Manage different groups of Learners and their reports
If the Class expires, the Learner is still associated with the Class and can review their Class associated Learning Events - they simply can no longer launch the content
DNN provides basic role management tools. If you'd like greater functionality here is a good third party module: http://www.snowcovered.com/Snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=15808
Here are the two products we recommend for selling role subscriptions.
Ventrian Systems http://www.ventrian.com/Products/Modules/SubscriptionTools.aspx
CATALook http://www.snowcovered.com/Snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=3445
Interzoic can provide integration with the Accord LMS if desired.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks, Chris
