is the art of making your website highly ranked in search engine listings.  This is achieved by providing important and relevant information on your site in regards to key terms used in your business sector.

The two main components in any successful SEO strategy are:
  • Keywords (for relevance)
  • Links to your site (for importance)

Think of the search engines as a big election. All the websites in the world are candidates. The relevant information on your website is your campaign. The links to your website are votes. The more votes (links) a candidate (website) has, the more important it is, and the higher its ranking.

Keywords

Search engines send out ‘robots’ or ‘spiders’ to analyze your website. They look at the words you’ve used to figure out what you do. This tells them when to display your site in their search results.  Keywords are the first thing you need to think about when you start your SEO journey.

Figure out what words your customers are looking for at search engines. These words are known as keywords. The idea is to frequently use these keywords in the copy of your website and in the HTML code behind the page. As a rule of thumb, the more frequently you use these keywords, the more relevant you’ll be considered by the search engines, and the more likely you are to appear in searches for those words.

Links to your site

Links to your site tell the search engines how important your site is. They assume that if it’s important enough for a lot of other sites to link to, it’s important enough for them to display at the top of the rankings.

Links to your site (“backlinks” or “inbound links”) are the single most important factor in ranking. The more links you have to your site from other sites, the better your ranking.

Summary

If you have a lot of the right keywords, used in real sentences, distributed realistically throughout your site, and a lot of links from other relevant sites, you stand a good chance of being ranked highly.

SEO Packages

We offer four SEO plans; Basic, Essential, Commercial and Optimal . In addition we provide options for you to upgrade your plan at a later date.

The Basic plan provides the functionality your website needs to be SEO friendly.  The Essential plan insures that your content targets the correct market sector. The Commercial plan provides a solid SEO foundation with a focus of on-page optimization. Ideally this should be completed before your website is launched. The Optimal Upgrade plan continues to build on Commercial with comprehensive development of off-page optimization techniques such as link building and can be implemented anytime after website launch.

Due to the importance of link building, you should not wait more than 6 months after website launch to start implementing the Optimal features. If you are serious about SEO we recommend you budget for the Optimal plan at the onset of development. This will provide complete SEO follow-through from prelaunch to post-launch. Hourly SEO consulting is also an option.

Basic SEO - $450

  • Google Analytics: detailed statistics about the visitors to your website
  • URL optimization: install and configure URL direction tools to create both human and SEO "friendly" URL. 
  • URL Folding: Fold all URLs to "www.".  Redirect all home pages to root URL.  (only available for accounts hosted by Interzoic)
  • XML sitemap: create XML sitemap and submit to Google Webmaster Central, Yahoo Site Explorer and Live Search Webmaster Center
  • Robots.txt: block duplicate and throwaway pages (e.g. NA Submit Comment pages) by disallowing within DNN-centric robots.txt file

Essential SEO - $1150 (upgrade from Basic - $750)

  • Foundation: includes all Basic SEO
  • Keyword research: up to 10 keywords and phrases
  • Meta tags: write handcrafted page title and description tags for up to 10 pages
  • Support: 2 hours of SEO email and/or phone support

Commercial SEO - $2500  (upgrade from Essential - $1500)

  • Foundation: includes all Essential SEO 
  • Keyword research: up to 15 keywords and phrases
  • Meta tags: write handcrafted page title and description tags for up to 10 additional pages
  • Website navigation: ensure that the main navigation consists of text links as opposed to image and JavaScript driven links to optimize “crawlability” and add rel=nofollow attributes to control link juice
  • Copy optimization: make recommendations on how to effectively incorporate the keyword research into website copy and advise on copy structure such as proper use of <h1> tags
  • Link building: recommend quality and industry specific web directories and social networks (no actual submission by Interzoic Media)
  • Support: 2 additional hours of SEO email and/or phone support

Optimal SEO - $4500  (upgrade from Commercial - $2500)

  • Foundation: includes all Commercial SEO
  • Keyword Research: up to 5 additional keywords and phrases
  • Meta tags: write handcrafted page title and description tags for up to 10 additional pages and optimize image ALT tags image title tags
  • Link building: comprehensive attraction of one-way inbound links (projected target: 10 links) from high ranking authorities such as web directories and social networks, including hand submission and anchor text optimization (potential directory submission fees are the responsibility of client)
  • Internal & external link optimization: consult on the number and importance of internal links pointing to a given target page and ensure that external links point to high quality, topically-related pages
  • Competitive analysis: identify top 5 competitors and list their Google PageRank, Alexa Data, target keywords and inbound links and apply research to further optimize website SEO
  • 6 Months of Reporting and Updates:
    • Inbound Links Report: 6 monthly reports
    • Search Engine Ranking and PageRank: 3 reports total - delivered during the 4th, 5th and 6th month
    • XML sitemap and robots.txt updates: monthly / as needed
  • Web analytics: consult on Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Central, Yahoo Site Explorer and Live Search Webmaster Center and their importance to SEO
  • Web 2.0 SEO: consult on blog, forum, and other user-generated content optimization as well as web video and podcast optimization and implement web 2.0 technologies such as tag clouds and RSS as applicable to SEO
  • SEO Support: 4 additional hours of SEO email and/or phone support
